Join photographers Danny Dempster and John Nation for a unique photographic weekend at Hidden Hill Nursery in Utica, Indiana. The concentration will be on nature photography, but there will be a pot-pourri of portraiture, people, and other perplexities added to the mix. It promises to be fun and a doorway to opportunity!
Thursday, October 5, 6PM: Optional photo opportunity. Workshop participants are invited to meet at Hidden Hill to photograph the full moon with the new Lewis and Clark Bridge (weather permitting). The sun sets at 7:19 and the moon rises at 7:40, so we’ll gather at Hidden Hill at 6PM and carpool from there. Bring cameras, tripods, and walking shoes.
Friday, October 6, 6PM: Meet at the Utica Community Center (log building in the center of town) for workshop presentations by Danny and John. After presentations, those who wish to do so may camp at Hidden Hill. Bring your own sleeping bags and tents. Hot dogs and campfire will be be provided.
Saturday, October 7, 7AM: Sunrise is at 7:44 and we will begin shooting before that. Photography sessions will last until late morning. We will return to the community center for a provided box lunch and critique sessions. Participants should bring a laptop or tablet to view their images. Workshop ends at 4PM.
Cost is $125 per person or $200 per couple.
